3-Day Merzouga Desert Excursion from Marrakech: Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi-n-Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
At 7:00 AM, we depart from your hotel towards Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m altitude). You’ll experience contrasting landscapes and pass through several Berber villages. We’ll stop for lunch and visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through Ouarzazate, with its beautiful kasbah, and proceed to the Dades Valley and Dades Gorges, passing through rocky deserts and the Skoura palm grove, as well as the Valley of Roses.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, enjoy a stroll through the Dades Gorges. We then continue our journey to the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. From there, mount your camels for a trek through the dunes while watching the sunset. Overnight stay, dinner, and accommodation will be in Sahraoui tents at “Les Dunes.”

Day 3: Merzouga – Marrakech
Wake up early to relish the sunrise in the Sahraoui setting while on your camels, before heading back to Marrakech, arriving by 7:00 PM.
